Lindsay Kyte, a talented playwright and actress, and Darrel Cameron, a skilled music therapist and producer with Blue Acres, share a profound love for the arts that forms the bedrock of their relationship. Their mutual understanding of the creative lifestyle helps them stay strong and connected as a couple, with late nights at rehearsals or in the studio being a normal part of their day-to-day. Darrel specializes in working with patients with dementia through music therapy, empowering his clients to take ownership of their creativity. Lindsay has successfully co-written, acted in, and toured her show "Dear Rita," a heartfelt tribute to the life and achievements of celebrated Nova Scotian singer Rita MacNeil. This summer, the show will debut at Neptune Theatre, and the excitement for us included a special treat: trying on Rita's famous "red hat." Together, Lindsay and Darrel’s dedication to their crafts not only enriches their own lives but also brings joy and healing to others.
